Spotlight: Marketing and Event Management, Russia - San Francisco (unable to relocate at this time)

Yana, is a Marketing professional seeking an Events Planning opportunity. Yana brings 10 years of marketing experience in advertising, public relations and trade show and event management. Most recently, she was a Communications Director, where she led direct marketing campaigns and corporate events for a leading Russian company. Yana has an MA in Philology and BA in Russian literature.

Spotlight: Human Resources Manager - New York (willing to relocate)

Collette most recently served for 7 years as Director of Human Resources for Unibank in Haiti. Collette holds a Bachelors of Law as well as a degree in accounting. During her extensive experience, she has also worked as a recruiter, freelance attorney, and founded her own recruiting agency placing administrative professionals and managers within international nonprofit organizations.

Spotlight: Chinese/English Professor, China - San Francisco (unable to relocate at this time)

Sophia is a Language Professor in Chinese and English and has 25 years teaching experience in China and the U.S. She has designed courses and demonstrated successful classroom management. Sophia is sought out by students to advise on thesis development and has received several teaching awards. Sophia has an MA in English Linguistics and Literature, and hopes to use her experience as a High School or University level Mandarin teacher.

Spotlight: Nonprofit Program Manager - New York (willing to relocate)

Aminou is a nonprofit manager from Togo with experience working in community development and empowering individuals with disabilities. Aminou earned Bachelors degrees in English and in Sociology, as well as a Master of Sociology. He founded a nonprofit organization that advocated for the education of blind students in Togo, and he has continued to support this initiative by securing a shipment of white canes from Lighthouse International for use by blind individuals back in his native country.

Success Stories

Zafer, of Turkey, recently started the position of Sales Associate in Treasury Services at JPMorgan Chase. With a Bachelors degree in Economics and 9 years experience working at several different banks in Turkey including HSBC, Zafer is a strong addition to one of our employer partners.

Selimot, an accountant from Nigeria, is now working as a Bookkeeper with Consolidated Bus Transit Inc. in Brooklyn. After coming to UpGlo last fall, Selimot took the initiative to develop her database and spreadsheet skills through courses in Excel and QuickBooks.

Belay, an Accountant and Finance Professional, from Ethiopia, began a new position as a Community Investment Specialist, with Federal Home Loan Bank, San Francisco. Belay brings his 10+ years experience in financial planning, accounting and auditing and an M.A., in International Development and Cooperation. Belay found this position through Upwardly Global's Employer Network.

Cecelia, an experienced non-profit finance and administration manager from the Philippines, started as the Office Manager at the International Development Exchange (IDEX). In addition to 14 years experience in the non-profit administration field, Ces holds a Master in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business in Manila.
